John Wigneswaran, MD

CEO, Board Chairman, Member Clinical Advisory Board

John Wigneswaran was appointed Board Chairman for Nephroceuticals in 2008. Under his leadership, the Company assembled a team of national experts and clinical thought leaders in the field of nutrition and produced the first evidence-based nutritional supplements to promote health in people with Chronic Kidney Disease, End Stage Renal Disease and Cardiac Disease.

Early in his career, Dr. Wigneswaran served as Director of Medical Affairs for Scios Inc, a start-up heart failure company, working with the clinical team helping to help commercialize a novel heart failure medication which led to its eventual acquisition by Johnson and Johnson. He has expertise in kidney disease, heart failure, the cardiorenal syndrome, the use of ultrafiltration in volume overloaded states, as well as loop diuretic resistance and pharmacokinetics in heart failure. Dr. Wigneswaran next joined CHF Solutions/Baxter where he headed the Medical Affairs division responsible for clinical trial development, medical education, and commercial strategy. Following this, Dr. Wigneswaran was recruited to head the heart failure business unit of Fresenius Medical Care, serving as Vice President of Market Development and Clinical Strategy. He currently serves as Vice President of Clinical Affairs for DaVita Healthcare Partners.

Dr. Wigneswaran is board certified in Nephrology and Internal Medicine. He attended Cornell University and received a medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. He completed his fellowship training in Nephrology at New York Hospital/Cornell Weill College of Medicine.

Roger A. Edwards, CPA

Chief Operating Officer

Roger Edwards CPA, is the Chief Operating Officer for Nephroceuticals, LLC and Corceuticals, LLC. Roger has served in the original start-up operations of both companies.

Mr. Edwards began his career with Huffy Corporation within their internal audit department, and then joined Ernst & Young leading audit and review engagements for some of the largest publicly and privately-owned companies in the Dayton/Cincinnati/Columbus, Ohio areas. Mr. Edwards later served as a Senior Director of Product Management and Software Development for Reynolds & Reynolds, a Fortune 1000 Technology based company headquartered in Dayton, Ohio. Mr. Edwards specializes in business operations and commercialization, and has served as an investor, as well as a co-founder of Gem City Business Solutions, LLC. Roger is a Certified Public Accountant within the State of Ohio and holds a dual major in Accountancy and Finance from Wright State University.

Balaji Gandhi

Board Member

Balaji has over 20 years of healthcare experience spanning investment research, corporate development and public policy. He is currently drawing on those experiences to help grow Madaket, an early-stage company using software-as-a-service to automate manual administrative processes in the healthcare industry. Prior to joining Madaket, he spent nearly a decade working for the CEOs of Press Ganey and Fresenius Medical Care, responsible for M&A activity, investor relations and various strategic projects. His investment experience includes a decade as an equity research analyst following healthcare companies for several investment banking firms and a stint with GE Capital where he was responsible for evaluating debt investment opportunities in health care services companies. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Rochester and a Master of Health Administration degree from George Washington University.
